wellANT:

our erosion tool for rigless P&A

With our Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) erosion technology, we offer our customers extremely efficient and reliable operating procedures with 100% OEM support. Our equipment is state of the art. The wellANT solution has futher expanded its competences, allowing it to offer wells operators a larger range of solutions to various challenges. This creates what is known as an erosion pocket in front of the tool. This enables very precise erosion in the designated areas – making the wellANT an optimal solution in the oil and gas industry. As a non-contact erosion tool, wellANT allows for numerous applications. Operating not only from fixed installations, but also from floating installations such as a Riserless Light Well Intervention (RLWI) vessel. The advantage of our improved technology is that much of the risk associated with conventional methods is eliminated. As a system, wellANT is in constant research and development. As an innovative and future-oriented company, we are constantly conducting tests and analyses to gather important data and make improvements. We are looking for smart modules for real-time data, solids management, and cleaning the well during operation. Recycling and the erosion process itself are also topics on our agenda. After all, this is the only way we can continue to respond to our customers‘ requirements in a more targeted, efficient and precise manner in the future.

And this is how it works:

The basis of our erosion tool wellANT is the Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) erosion technology. However, the liquid is conveyed at higher flow rates (450 lpm) and a simultaneously lower pressure (450 bar). Arriving at the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA), the mixture of fluid and abrasive material passes through a specially designed distribution module that distributes the mixture evenly to the nozzle heads and discharges it at a speed of 240 m/s. This creates what is known as an erosion pocket in front of the tool. This enables very precise erosion in the designated areas.

wellANT – versatile

The uniform water jets of the wellANT system easily penetrates. Currently, the technology is already being used in the following areas:
  • plug removal
  • collapsed casings
  • cement removal
  • obstruction access
  • scale removal
  • wellbore clean out
  • zone perfs
In the area of research and development, wellANT can be extended to the following areas:
  • 360 section erosion
  • side tracking
  • reservoir enhancement
Because of its versatility, wellANT can continue to be used as a problem solver for many conventional challenges in the oil and gas industry with minimal effort and operational or technical modifications.

A simple explanation: how does wellANT work!

The wellANT system speaks for itself with its versatile applications. It is a completely new concept that will soon prove itself in application. wellANT is revolutionizing the waterjet erosion market and the mindset on addressing well challenges in the future. We offer an unconventional solution to a conventional and well-known problem. See for yourself and learn more about how wellANT works in our video.
