wellANT Nozzle Head – Technical Overview
wellANT is a modular, erosion-based downhole tool designed for internal interventions in complex wells. The system uses Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) technology for mechanical-free material removal in sensitive environments. The tool is engineered to operate in live wells and supports a variety of P&A and intervention scenarios.
Current Technical Status
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL): 6
- Deployment system: Topside Drive System (TSDS) via Drill Pipe
- Tested depth: Up to 300 m
- Deployment readiness: Q3 2025 – operational testing planned to achieve TRL 9
- Drive method: Mechanical rotation + feed from topside
- Fluid system: Standard mud circuit + garnet abrasive injection
- Cutting method: Controlled erosion, no spark or heat generation
- Tool footprint: Compact (for standard offshore integration)
- Swivel & packer options: Configurable based on application
- Integration: Compatible with standard BHA components
- Service support: ANT AG internal engineering + remote diagnostics available
